This 180 km long route follows the journey of Richard the Lion Heart; as he battles against the mighty King Philip of France, moving across many of the  departments of Charente, Corrèze, Dordogne and Haute-Vienne.

In total there are nineteen stunning chateaus / ancient monuments
these make up part of the
Richard the Lion Heart Route;

The National Parc
Limousin is the ideal location to discover the great outdoors with over  6.200 km (over 3.850 miles) of different hiking trails to suit all abilities’ and  conveniently located right in the centre of France.
